Conflicts take many forms: from wars that devastate entire populations to everyday tensions, less spectacular but no less tragic. What they share is the absence of genuine winners and losers: they affect everyone and often leave invisible wounds, fuelled by ignorance, consumerism, and a state of collective social numbness.
The exhibition brings together artists from different generations, cultural backgrounds, and geographical contexts, working across diverse media and artistic languages, to create a space of conceptual proximity and a defence of the human dimension. Their works invite reflection on social and cultural fractures and on the urgent need to resist the emotional numbness and distortions that alter our perception of ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Human Space thus becomes a space for personal reflection and a site in which art and culture reaffirm their role in shaping a more humane and empathetic future. The participating artists share a common commitment: to reclaim cultural, civic, and spiritual values while confronting dehumanisation. Their works demonstrate the transformative potential of art as a space for action, encounter, and the reconfiguration of identity, while giving voice to the wounds, ruptures, and forced displacements caused by conflict.
The exhibition therefore foregrounds the commitment of artists who, through their practices, have envisioned possibilities for coexistence, embraced their complexity, and articulated questions and perspectives for the future.
